THE LIVE READY VISION

At the heart of Live Ready we believe that survival preparedness skills should be accessible to everyone.

To make this a reality, Live Ready offers one student scholarship for a learner to enroll in the Learner Development Course at every partaking school per curriculum. In this way we aim to ensure that from a grassroots level, students of lesser means have access to valuable survival, preparedness and leadership development skills.

Live Ready has published countless YouTube videos for prepared citizens and developed the complementary Live Ready Emergency Survival Guide as a tool for every household to use in their journey to survival preparedness.

To ensure that every course attendant receives training at the appropriate level, we also instruct Advanced Survival Skills Courses for specialised task forces on request.

FOUNDER AND OWNER

Clarise du Plessis is a STASA qualified survival instructor (BSI-23-26) and preparedness consultant stationed in the Western Cape, South Africa. As the founder of Live Ready, she believes that survival skills, bushcraft and preparedness are not just for those with advanced outdoor skills, but that every person should make those elements part of their lifestyle especially in the times we live in today.

"The purpose of the Live Ready platform is to share our experiences of survival, bushcraft and preparedness while assisting people in learning skills at a level that is easy and practical. These skills can be adopted by anyone on their journey to preparedness. I believe we can do this while taking care of our environment and ensuring the sustainability and longevity of our resources and wildlife. With the implementation of the mark of the beast many of us will no longer be able to buy or sell, to earn a living and to continue being a part of society. For this reason we need to prepare ourselves to survive this period in time".

Through the Live Ready Online Survival Courses, in-person survival preparedness courses and YouTube channel, Clarise shares her experiences of her time spent in the wilderness, her recommendations for home safety and preparedness, the right gear to get you there, and important survival skills needed to sustain yourself in an urban kinetic situation or in wilderness survival.

CONNOR BROOKER

With a special interest in environmental studies, Connor Brooker has spent endless hours in the outdoors and has incredible patience to teach even complicated survival skills. With an outstanding capacity for survival problem solving, Connor joined the Live Ready team

in October 2025 and has added incredible value to our courses. Connor enjoys the wilderness like it's his first home and has an incredible ability to make himself comfortable in unforgiving environments.

REBECCA | RIVKA BEETON

WOMEN OF VALOUR

A highly capable woman with special interests in firearms, survival and aviation. Rebecca, Rivka in Hebrew, joined the Live Ready team in December 2025. Rebecca has an excellent capacity to acquire and teach skills of any nature and has been involved in multi-day survival egress and preparedness training courses as a part of the Live Ready team.

Rebecca has a heart for women who have previous traumatic experiences and runs a women's training and support group based in the Western Cape South Africa. Women of Valour's core objective is to instruct, counsel and support women in a journey of healing and empowerment.
